I said to my friend John that I wanted to paint when I retired from architecture​ - he said "Why wait?"​​​

 

These abstract, color field "pictures" are non-representational - they have no (literal) meaning but may evoke an emotion :)​​

 

Gerhard Richter said that a painting is done when there are no more ideas about what to add or destroy​

 

The works are made with enamel house paint laid on birch panels with rubber squeegees​
